I am joining Girls Talk again this week. We are going to talk about something new we’ve done this year. Something new that I’ve done this year is to leave my kids overnight with their dad and attend a retreat by myself! I went with a group of pastor’s wives and the place we went to was Balai Isabel. It had a great view of Taal Volcano!

It was also my first time to watch a live football game of the Philippine Azkals! It rained really hard at the beginning of the game but we finished the entire game drenched – it was truly memorable for me! The euphoria of being in a stadium where everyone was cheering for the Azkals to win against Sri Lanka and we were so glad that they did! More about this on my Azkals post at The Mommy Journey.

This is my favorite manga portrait I saw in Ayala Museum last Sunday. The blue sky above was just perfect! Blue color could depict the loneliness and yet it could also depict the calmness one feels.

Shadows are black.. here is a recent photo which cast a show on the subjects, but I think the shot turned out nice!

I still love to take photos using my DSLR and I hope that even if my lens no longer does Auto-focus, it will still render its service in the coming years as I can not afford to buy a new one!

Birthdays make some reflective. What are we doing to improve ourselves year after year? I’ve been looking at GuidetoOnlineSchools.com and see how easily someone can work towards their dreams and goals, whether it is shooting for a degree in psychology or just take hobby classes. Maybe knowledge would be the best gift of all.

Our theme for this week’s Girls Talk is all about our birthday wish this year. Mine would be to be able to travel with my family for a vacation. A trip to Bohol or Baguio or Boracay with the family is something I hope we would be able to do before the year ends.

Best birthday gift?
It has been a long time since I last received birthday gifts from people who are not related to me. So receiving a bouquet of flowers and a cake from the marces that I have met online are a surprise last December!

It was truly a wonderful experience to have met these people who consider you as “close” friends even when we only met online. Thanks so much for the friendship and the love marces! *wink*

Happy birthday to Marce Kaye (host of Girls Talk)! I really love that girl… Anyway, because it is her birthday this month, our theme for the month revolves around birthdays. Our theme this week revolves around our birth date. You can know my birth date just by looking at my name. It is a joyous month and a much celebrated one. When I was younger, I enjoy celebrating my birthday with friends but as I grew older, I enjoy celebrating it with family. So do you have a guess what month does my birth date fall under?

By the way, my birth date falls on  the 350th day of the year.

So which one is my most memorable high school moment?

Would it be when I was with my HS barkada and we would hang out together?

Or would it be when I sang in front of so many people during contests and programs?

Or would it be when I finally had my first boyfriend during 4th year highschool? (yes, i started early!)

Nah.. I am not posting our pics!

Or would it be when we finally graduated?

I can’t seem to choose just one.. so would it be okay if I say those are my most memorable moments in high school?
